Emily Lahey, a 31-year-old Melbourne resident, has received a sobering diagnosis of NUT carcinoma, a rare and aggressive type of cancer. The average prognosis for this disease is only six to nine months.
Lahey has decided to use her remaining time to create something meaningful. She is auctioning off three-minute slots of her time to strangers in Sydney as part of her "Time to Live" art exhibition.
The exhibition invites members of the public to engage in one-on-one interactions with Lahey. These interactions can be anything from sharing stories to simply listening to each other.
The Purpose of the Exhibition
Lahey's goal with "Time to Live" is to foster meaningful connections and raise awareness about the challenges of living with a terminal illness.

The Auction
The auction for "Time to Live" will be held on Sunday, February 26th, at the Sydney Contemporary Art Fair.
There will be 100 three-minute slots available for auction, with bids starting at $100.
All proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Peter Mac Foundation, a medical research foundation dedicated to fighting cancer.
